Teaching Interests

Professor Bras' teaching interests encompass core mechanical engineering topics at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including capstone design, machine design, engineering graphics, optimization and environmentally consious design and manufacturing. He is committed to fostering analytical skills and integrating research insights into the classroom, actively involving students in problem-solving and critical thinking within mechanical engineering disciplines.

Research Interests

Professor Bras' research focus is on sustainable design and manufacturing, including design for recycling and remanufacture, biological inspired design, and life-cycle analyses, with applications in energy and mobility systems.
